Why breed black soldier flies (black soldier fly larvae)?
The larvae of black soldier flies feed on animal feces, rotten organic matter, such as carrion, rotten fruits, vegetables and plant waste. The fat and white larvae of black soldier flies have a high protein content and can be used as feed for animals such as chickens, pigs and fish. The food waste decomposed by the larvae can be used as organic fertilizer for agricultural planting such as fruit trees and flower beds. Like the reproduction of other insect species, the reproduction of black soldier flies is very resource-saving.

The new Black Soldier Fly (BSF) breeding box is a taller and larger capacity breeding box designed specifically for BSF-based protein production. The clever design of the insect breeding and stacking height ratio achieves high yields and high space utilization. In addition to a large amount of heat generated during the breeding process, a large amount of CO2 and ammonia are also produced. This allows the boxes to have open corners and uniquely designed long sides, designed specifically for this purpose. Together with the new smooth base, airflow can be improved, thereby increasing exhaust volume. HDPE and PP materials comply with the latest substance migration regulations, are strong and stable, have long durability, and can be cleaned and sterilized at high temperatures, making them ideal for large-scale insect breeding. BSF containers are well suited for automated stacking, destacking, and cleaning, in part because the corners are rigid enough and have adequate gripping options.

During the growth and breeding process of black soldier flies (BSF), it is also important to track the production process, which usually requires RFID tags to be attached to the crates. We now offer the option of retrofitting remotely readable tags that can be firmly clamped on the crates without additional installation and ensure that they always remain in the correct position. If there are special requirements, the tags can also provide QR codes, barcodes or numbers.
